yes it is, but i'd suggest taking a downhill bike as it is extremely rocky and rough, a xc bike like i'm using in the picture just isn't up to it, but i was between downhill bikes at the time and didn't have anything else. neither of the bike shops in the town would hire you a bike if you said you where going to take it to the top of the ben as they're just not up to it and they don't hire dh bike's at this time of year. Also you push 98% of the way up, theres not my cycling up to be done because it's so rocky.

as i doubt tiddles (the boy who's selling it) will be able to answer this question, no the chainguide will not mount around the bottom bracket as the hole for the crank to go through is considerably bigger than a bottom bracket, so they only way to use the chainguide is ISCG tabs.
